Manifesto

We refuse to click submit on your behalf.

Auto-apply tools are pitched as "apply to 1,000 jobs in one click." The pitch is seductive. The math is not. We built AppliedToday as the antidote — and this page is the case for why we exist.

The math is bad for the candidate.

Independent reviews of the auto-apply category show bimodal Trustpilot distributions: people who don't verify say five stars; people who check the career page say one star. Silent failure rates of 25–40% are common. The Business Insider "420 applications, zero interviews" story is the canonical cautionary tale. The category's moat is volume, not signal.

The math is bad for the company.

Recruiters and hiring managers can spot the pattern. Volume-bot applications get flagged, ghosted, or treated as brand damage. Sonara-style silent failure means the candidate doesn't know their application was rejected — until they check 200 tabs and realize none of them moved. LazyApply hit captcha walls and refund disputes hard enough that its Trustpilot sits at 2.3out of 5.

The math is bad for the system.

When 1,000 bot-applications hit a Greenhouse board, the recruiter's first job becomes filtering bots, not reading resumes. Real candidates with real applications get buried under the volume. We think a 200-application bot campaign does more damage to the candidate than the bots themselves.

What we do instead.

AppliedToday is a review-first job search workspace. We help you write your work-life story, draft tailored cover letters, score jobs against your story, and copy/paste your applications into the actual form. We never touch the application. We never click submit. You do.

  • You write one story. Work history, what you want, what you hate. Once.
  • We draft the answers. Tailored cover letters grounded in your story and the JD.
  • You verify the match. Score tells you if the role is worth your time.
  • You click submit. In the actual form, on the actual site, with your hands.

The counter.

Applications submitted by AppliedToday users: 0. Applications drafted and copy-pasted by AppliedToday users: billable. Our business model is aligned with you actually getting hired, not with us clicking buttons for you.
