The job-form copy helper that never auto-submits.

Open a job application on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, SmartRecruiters, iCIMS, or BambooHR. The side panel detects the form fields, drafts answers grounded in your resume, and gives you a copy button for each one. You review, paste, and submit.

What it does

Six features. Zero field mutations.

Every feature stops short of writing to the page or clicking submit. The side panel surfaces copy buttons; you move the text.

Detects visible fields automatically

Open a supported job form. The side panel lists every text input, email, phone, textarea, and select on the page — labeled with the real field name, not a guessed one.

Reads your resume locally

Drop a PDF, DOCX, or TXT into the panel. Parsing happens in your browser. Nothing is uploaded — the resume stays on disk.

Imports one-job packets from AppliedToday

Generate a copy-for-extension packet on the AppliedToday site, paste it into the panel, and the resume-derived answers become job-aware. The handoff expires after five minutes.

Copy, then you paste

Each visible field gets a copy button. Click copy, paste it into the real form on the page. The extension never writes to fields, never clicks submit. You see what got sent.

Flags sensitive fields

Salary, authorization, demographic, disability, start date, and consent fields are tagged manual. You fill those yourself — never blind-pasted from a resume.

Keeps unlimited custom fields

Save an ordinary question and reusable answer before or during an application. A matching ready-to-copy question shows your saved value; the extension still never fills the page. Lives only on your device and stays free.

Every host has a tested selector strategy.

The content script detects visible fields and labels them with the real field name, not a heuristic guess. Updated selector audits run monthly — see the catalog.

Review-first by design

A clear boundary from preparation to submission.

AppliedToday prepares copy. You decide what belongs in the application, paste it, review the final page, and submit it yourself.

1 · Prepare

Start from your resume and the job.

Resume parsing and answer preparation stay in your browser. A job-specific handoff expires after five minutes.

2 · Review

Inspect every answer.

Sensitive, uncertain, and consent-related fields remain manual. The panel shows the source of each safe answer.

3 · Paste and submit

Keep the final action yours.

The extension exposes copy buttons only. It never fills a field, clicks a button, or submits an application.

Installation

Six steps. No signup. No account.

1

2

Open a supported job form

Open the side panel

Choose AppliedToday Copy Helper from Chrome. The helper reads visible field labels on the page you opened.

Copy and paste

Copy one approved answer at a time and paste it into the real form yourself.

Check the completed application and choose when to submit. The extension cannot submit it for you.

Questions, answered

Things people ask before installing.

Does the extension auto-submit job applications?+
No. AppliedToday Copy Helper never fills form fields and never clicks Submit. It surfaces copy-ready text in a side panel, you click copy, you paste into the actual form on the page, and you decide when to submit.
What permissions does it ask for?+
It requests sidePanel, storage, scripting, and activeTab. It has no broad host permissions and can inspect the current page only after your explicit Chrome action. It does not read unrelated browsing history, use third-party analytics, or capture keystrokes.
Where does my resume go?+
Nowhere. The extension parses your resume inside the browser using a hard-coded PDF/DOCX/TXT reader. The file content never leaves your device. Clear it any time from the panel.
How is this different from auto-apply tools?+
AppliedToday is deliberately review-first. The helper stops at copy-ready text, does not write into the application, and never submits. You inspect every answer, paste what you approve, and send the application yourself.
What does the one-job packet from AppliedToday do?+
When you generate a job-specific draft on AppliedToday, click “Send to Copy Helper.” The extension stages a five-minute handoff and shows exactly what it received. Choose Save or Cancel before anything becomes available to copy. If the extension is unavailable, the site offers an explicit paste-review fallback.
Does it work on Workday (or other multi-step forms)?+
Yes. Workday has 5 to 10 screens per application. The side panel detects each new screen as you progress through it. Each screen has its own scan + prepare cycle. Use one packet, scan each screen, copy what fits, click Next yourself.
Is this free?+
The extension and unlimited browser-local custom fields are free. The AppliedToday site includes three browser-local preparations for guests and three account-level preparations per UTC month for Free accounts. Pro is $29 monthly or $278.40 annually and includes unlimited preparations.
Where can I install it?+
The Chrome Web Store listing is being prepared for review. This page will expose the verified listing after Google approves it; there is no separate public download.

Stop typing the same answer into 37 forms.

The extension is free forever. Open a job form on Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday, SmartRecruiters, iCIMS, or BambooHR and tap the side panel.
